How are patio awnings fitted?

Awnings are installed by proprietary brackets mounted to your wall using stainless steel fixings set in chemical resin to a depth of approx. 90mm. The chemical component must cure sufficiently before the brackets are fitted and then must fully harden before the awning is positioned.

Stainless steel Rawlbolts® can be used, but only where the wall is not at risk from cracking.

Unless you have a flat brick wall with adequate loadbearing, custom manufactured brackets will also need to be ordered which, when fitted, will spread the load of the awning over many more courses of brickwork.

Obviously the exact method of fitting varies with each specific property.
